No code: n8n, Make, Zapier, RapidAPI

GeoGridAPI maps without writing a line of code: the official n8n node, the HTTP module of Make and Zapier, or the RapidAPI listing.

The n8n node in 4 steps

“GeoGridAPI”, the official node published on npm (n8n-nodes-geogridapi). Your credits pay for the maps, as with the API.

  1. Install the node

    Self-hosted n8n: Settings, Community Nodes, Install, then n8n-nodes-geogridapi.

  2. Add your key

    GeoGridAPI API credential, with a gga_live_ key from the console. A gga_test_ key returns free sample maps to build the workflow.

  3. Run a map

    GeoGridAPI node, Grid then Run: the listing (name and city, or place ID), the keyword and the format. Wait for Completion returns the result 20 seconds to 2 minutes later.

  4. Send the result

    To Google Sheets, Slack or an email. Grid then Get Image returns the PNG heatmap, ready for a client report.

  • the average rank
  • the points in the top 3
  • the competitors ahead
  • the change since the previous map

Every week, in a spreadsheet

  1. Schedule

    A Schedule Trigger node, every Monday at 8 am for example.

  2. Measure

    GeoGridAPI, Grid then Run, with Wait for Completion. One node per listing and keyword, or Batch then Run for up to 50.

  3. Log

    Google Sheets, Append Row: summary.average_rank, summary.top3_points and previous.changes.average_rank (negative is better).

Make, Zapier and others: the HTTP module

Your tool calls the API with your GeoGridAPI key, and your credits pay for the maps.

  1. Send the map to measure

    POST method, these headers and this JSON body. The answer comes right away with the map id, status pending.

    Request
    POST https://api.geogridapi.io/v1/grids
    Authorization: Bearer gga_live_…
    Content-Type: application/json

    {
      "query": "Plomberie Vauban, Lille",
      "keyword": "plombier",
      "size": 7,
      "radius_km": 3,
      "webhook_url": "https://example.com/webhooks/geogridapi"
    }
  2. Get the result

    Put the address of a webhook from your tool in webhook_url: the finished map lands there. Without a webhook, read it by its id, 20 seconds to 2 minutes later.

    Read the map
    GET https://api.geogridapi.io/v1/grids/3f2c…
    Authorization: Bearer gga_live_…
  • Make
